You want to start by looking at CACREP PhD programs. The CACREP site does have a listing of accredited schools. You will have choices depending on where you live and also some online programs. I will (someday!) be earning a PhD in Counseling. Most counselor education programs will be listed this way. Most programs will require a dissertation and extensive internship including counseling, teaching, and clinical supervision. I hope this information helps. Pat Renee’: thanks for your comment.
